Reddit Toolkit

The Reddit toolkit lets agents interact with Reddit via the official Reddit API, enabling authenticated reading and writing across posts, comments, and subreddits.

Capabilities

  • Identity & access checks: Retrieve the authenticated user's username and verify whether a subreddit exists and is accessible (public, private, or restricted).
  • Post discovery & reading: Fetch posts from a subreddit by listing type (hot, new, top, controversial) with metadata, and retrieve the full content of one or many posts in a single call.
  • Comment reading: Retrieve the first page of top-level comments on any post.
  • Content creation: Submit new text posts to a subreddit, comment on posts, and reply to existing comments.
  • User content & subreddit metadata: List the authenticated user's own posts (newest first) and fetch a subreddit's rules.

OAuth

This toolkit uses OAuth 2.0 via the Reddit auth provider. See the Arcade Reddit auth provider docs for setup instructions.
