The Asana toolkit lets LLMs interact with Asana via Arcade, enabling agents to read and write tasks, projects, teams, tags, users, and workspaces.
Capabilities
- Task management — create, retrieve, update, complete, and search tasks; fetch subtasks; attach files (text, binary, or remote URL) to tasks
- Project & workspace access — list and retrieve projects and workspaces visible to the authenticated user
- Team & user lookup — list all teams or only the current user's teams; retrieve teams and users by ID or list them across a workspace
- Tagging — create tags, list tags in a workspace, and retrieve a tag by ID
- Context-aware defaults — task creation auto-resolves workspace when the account has exactly one; raises a descriptive error with available options when disambiguation is needed
OAuth
This toolkit uses OAuth 2.0 with Asana as the identity provider. See the Arcade Asana auth provider docs for setup details.
